Gets the number of vertices (corner points) in an object. This function is available in the Document/Medical Toolkits.

Parameter

Description

hObject

Handle to the annotation object.

puCount

Address of the variable to be updated with the number of vertices.

Returns

SUCCESS

The function was successful.

An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

Before calling this function, you must declare a variable of data type L_UINT. Then, pass the address of the variable in the puCount parameter. This function will update the variable with the number of vertices.

L_AnnGetPointCount works only with the following types of objects:

ANNOBJECT_POINTER
ANNOBJECT_FREEHAND
ANNOBJECT_LINE
ANNOBJECT_POLYGON
ANNOBJECT_POLYLINE
ANNOBJECT_TEXTPOINTER

For an ANNOBJECT_TEXTPOINTER object, puCount is updated with the value 5.
