Write Options Dialog

The Write Options dialog is shown below:

This dialog contains the following major options:

1.

General Group:

 

a.

Symbol Type: Opens the drop-down list box, shown below, which is used to select the type of symbol to write.

- Bar Codes: Reads linear barcodes.

 

 

- PDF417: Reads PDF417 barcodes.

 

 

- Data Matrix: Reads Data Matrix barcodes.

 

 

Note: The type selected in the Symbol Type drop-down list box determines what options are available throughout the rest of the dialog.

 

b.

Barcode Type: Specifies the barcode sub-type to write.

 

c.

Units: Determines the unit of measure for reading barcodes. The available units are shown below:

2.

Location Group: Specifies the area in which to write the barcode. To specify the area, set the following members:

 

a.

StartX

 

b.

StartY

 

c.

Width

 

d.

Height

 

This area will be used only if you didn’t select a region in the image. If you did select a region, then the demo will write the barcode within the region and ignore this area.

 

3.

Options Group: Contains flags that indicate whether to write an error check digit and the text for the barcode. For more information, please refer to the rest of the Barcode help file.

4.

Colors Group: Specifies colors that will be used for searching. The following are the color options:

 

a.

Use Color: Enables writing barcodes with colors. If this is unchecked, the demo will use the default barcode color, BLACK, and the default space color, WHITE to write the barcode.

 

b.

Transparent: Enables writing barcode with a transparent color. This option is not recommended because the written barcodes can’t be read with all images.

 

c.

Bar Color: Specifies the bar color to use when writing barcodes.

 

d.

Space Color: Specifies the space color to use when writing barcodes.

5.

Bar Code String Group: Specifies the barcode string to write.

6.

Justification Group: Specifies how to justify the barcode within the area. These options will be used only with PDF417 and Data Matrix barcodes. For more information about these options, please refer to the rest of the Barcode help file.

7.

Data Matrix Options Group: Contains options available only when writing Data Matrix barcodes. For more information on Data Matrix options, refer to the rest of the Barcode help file.

8.

PDF417 Options Group: Contains options available only when writing PDF417 barcodes. For more information on PDF417 options, refer to the rest of the Barcode help file.

9.

OK button: Writes a barcode over the image, using the write criteria set in this dialog.

10.

Cancel button: Cancels writing the barcode and closes the dialog.
