TWAIN High-level Functions

LEADTOOLS provides TWAIN high-level functions. These functions negotiate the most frequently used capabilities and eliminate the need to know the TWAIN specification to get or set TWAIN capabilities.

The LEADTOOLS high-level TWAIN functions negotiate the following capabilities for you:

• ICAP_XFERMECH: Transfer Mechanism (Native/Memory Buffered/File)
• ICAP_IMAGEFILEFORMAT: Image File Format (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, etc)
• ICAP_COMPRESSION: Image compression (Group4, JPEG, LZW, etc)
• ICAP_XRESOLUTION: Image's X Resolution or Dots Per Inch
• ICAP_YRESOLUTION: Image's Y Resolution or Dots Per Inch
• ICAP_FRAMES: Dimensions at which to scan the image
• ICAP_UNITS: Unit of measure for all quantities
• ICAP_BITDEPTH: Image's Bitdepth
• ICAP_BRIGHTNESS: Image's Brightness
• ICAP_CONTRAST: Image's Contrast
• ICAP_HIGHLIGHT: Image's Hightlight
• ICAP_ORIENTATION: Image's Orientation
• ICAP_SUPPORTEDSIZES: Predefined dimensions at which to scan the image
• DG_IMAGE / DAT_RGBRESPONSE / MSG_RESET:
• DG_IMAGE / DAT_RGBRESPONSE / MSG_SET
• CAP_INDICATORS: Turns the status bar on and off
• CAP_DUPLEXENABLED: Enables/Disables Duplex scanning
• CAP_DUPLEX: Tells what Duplex is supported by the scanner
• CAP_XFERCOUNT: Tells the scanner how many pages to scan
