Image File Formats: GIF and TIFF-LZW
GIF and TIFF with LZW Compression
LEADTOOLS reads and writes the following LZW-compressed
formats.
GIF
This is the Graphics Interchange Format created by CompuServe
for storing and exchanging color raster images. LEADTOOLS
supports transparency as well as local and global pallets.
You can read and write the following bits per pixel: 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. LEADTOOLS GIF support is perfect for
developers of GIF creator, GIF editor and GIF maker applications.
Animated GIF
This is a multipage GIF format that can be played as an
animation by displaying the images sequentially. LEADTOOLS
lets you create and play the animations. LEADTOOLS supports
transparnet bitmaps and delay between frames as well as
local and global pallets. You can create optimized pallets
to use as global pallets for list of bitmaps. You
can read and write the following bits per pixel: 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
TIFF LZW
These files use the Tagged Image File Format with LZW compression.
LEADTOOLS can read and write TIFF files that use RGB, CMYK,
or YCbCr color space. LEADTOOLS supports 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16, 24, 32 bits per pixel, without regard
for the color space. LEADTOOLS offers multipage support
as well as reading and writing of TIFF tags.
You can write 16 bit grayscale in the Medical
Imaging toolkits.
