LEAD Technologies, Inc is a privately held company founded in 1990 by Moe Daher and Rich Little. Headquartered in Charlotte North Carolina, LEAD was established to commercialize Mr. Daher's inventions in the field of digital imaging and compression technology. Over the course of LEAD's 18 year life span, LEAD has become the established global leader in the digital imaging development tool sector, with a leading market position in all major countries throughout the world. LEAD is the developer and publisher of LEADTOOLS, the award winning development toolkit.

Programmers use LEADTOOLS to integrate digital imaging technology into software applications and products quickly and easily. There are versions of LEADTOOLS for all major digital imaging categories including still frame color imaging, gray scale imaging, multimedia, document imaging, medical imaging, Internet imaging and vector imaging.

LEAD's current compression technology offering includes a Video Codec which provides users with the industry leading compression algorithms for efficiently storing and transmitting motion video and audio files.

LEAD's data compression technology has been utilized by some of the world's leading software publishers for compressing their software programs to save in media costs, including Corel, Delrina, Intuit, Parsons Technology and Xerox. Having tripled our engineering resources in the past 5 years, LEAD also has expert resources to provide development assistance and consulting to our customers on a contract basis, allowing our customers to leverage LEAD's 18 years of digital imaging experience and focus.

LEAD maintains strategic relationships with Microsoft, Borland/Inprise, Intel, Kodak and other market leaders to maintain its leading position in the imaging development tool market. These close relationships enable LEAD to be able to react quickly to new technologies and development trends.
