LEADTOOLS includes WPF source code examples making the integration of many years of LEADTOOLS imaging expertise into the latest Microsoft WPF technology a simple task. WPF supports robust imaging capabilities, interface automation, data-driven user interfaces and visualization, as well as Windows shell integration. WPF can natively access Windows Imaging Component (WIC) codecs and APIs, allowing developers to write image codecs for their specific image file formats. WPF is pre-installed in Windows Vista, and is also available for installation on Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003.

Bitmap Effects

Use Bitmap Effects to add visual interest to rendered Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) content. For example, dress up buttons with a shadow (DropShadowBitmapEffect) or soften images with a blur effect.

WIC Codecs

The WIC framework provides a common set of APIs to enable applications to load and save images with no prior knowledge of specific image formats required. Any application that supports WIC can access, display, process, save, and print images using a consistent interface for all file formats. The LEAD WIC-Enabled Codec set includes over 40 image encoders and decoders that integrate seamlessly with the Windows Imaging Component (WIC) framework.

Viewer Controls

Viewer controls for displaying images in XAML-based applications. The ImageList control displays a lists of thumbnail images.

Two different image viewer controls allow you to view over 150 LEADTOOLS-supported file formats in the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) development environment:

• BitmapSource Viewer (native WPF BitmapSource)
