Image File Formats: CALS CALS Raster (Type 1, 2, 3 and 4)

These are typically CCITT type compressed bitonal images. Using LEADTOOLS you can read and write 1BPP for CAL types 1, 2, 3 and 4. This file format does not support stamps or Lossless JPEG compression.

CALS is a United States government standard.
