LEADTOOLS functions in the Document Image Processing category
Clean scanned documents' bitonal image from noise, borders, lines and hole-punch marks. Also enhance picture clarity and alter its view to be more readable to both user and OCR. Features such as deskew, dilation, erosion, min and max filters provide excellent methods for making a document more recognizable. These features give LEADTOOLS Document Imaging SDK the power and flexibility you need when working with scanned documents.
Functions Available in Document Image Processing
- Deskew
-
Rotates the specified image to straighten it. This function typically is used to automatically straighten scanned images.
- Deskew Check
-
The Deskew Check function rotates a specified bank check image to straighten it. This is especially useful for correcting alignment errors during automated check scanning. This function is intended for bank check images that are mainly horizontal lines of text. The results are less predictable with other types of images.
- Blank Page Detector
-
Scanned image can contain blank (empty) pages. This function determines whether the scanned image is a blank page or not. It detects noisy, bleed through, and lined blank pages with high precision and speed, and provides the likely percentage accuracy of the result. This function helps to reduce disk storage requirements for scanned images.
- Smooth
-
Finds and smoothes the bumps and fills in the nicks of a 1-bit black and white image.
- Border Remove
-
Finds and removes the black borders in a 1-bit black and white image.
- Dot Remove
-
Finds and removes dots and specks of various sizes.
- Line Remove
-
Finds and removes horizontal and vertical lines in a 1-bit black and white image.
- Hole Punch Remove
-
Finds and removes hole punches.
- Inverted Text
-
Finds and modifies areas of inverted text in a 1-bit black and white image.
- Anti Alias
-
Applies an anti-aliasing filter to the specified image.
- Half Tone
-
Converts an image with any resolution to a halftoned image, with a specified pattern rotation.
- Halftone Pattern
-
Creates a halftone screen effect for an image while keeping its continuous range of tones.
- Color Halftone
-
Converts a 1-, 4-, 8-, 16-, 24-, or 32-bit image to a halftoned image, with a specified pattern rotation. A halftoned image is a 1-bit image that has been dithered for black and white printing or display.
- Search Registration Marks
-
Searches the image for registration marks.
- Is Registration Mark
-
Apply Transformation Parameters - Corrects a deformed image according to the transformation parameters values the returned from the Get Transformation Parameters function.
Get Marks Center Mass - Finds center of mass points for the registration marks.
Get Transformation Parameters - Computes the rotation angle, XY scaling, and XY translation of the transformed image with comparison to the reference image.
Is Registration Mark - Check whether the object inside the image is a registration mark or not.
Search Registration Marks - Searches the image for registration marks.
- Get Transformation Parameters
-
Computes the rotation angle, XY scaling, and XY translation of the transformed image with comparison to the reference image
- Get Marks Center Mass
-
Finds center of mass points for the registration marks
- Apply Transformation Parameters
-
Corrects the deformed image according to the transformation parameters values the returned from L_GetTransformationParameters
- Correlation
-
The correlation is a measure of association (resemblance) between two images to find those portions that match according to the measure of correlation
- Correlation List
-
Compares the images in list with all the areas of the same dimensions in original image and finds those portions that match according to the measure of correlation.
- Minimum Filter
-
Dilates dark objects by the specified amount.
- Maximum Filter
-
Erodes dark objects by the specified amount.
- Median Filter
-
Changes the color of each pixel in an image to the median color of pixels in its neighborhood.
- User Filter
-
Apply filtering on the image based on specified user defined mask coefficients.
- Invert
-
Inverts the black and white colors in the document
- Magic Wand
-
Sets a region based on the color found at point x, y in the image
- Create Color Based Region
-
Creates a region based on range of image colors.
- Direction Edge Statistical
-
Detects the variation of colors in the specified direction using statistical indices
- Edge Detect Statistical
-
Detects edges by examining the variation of colors in all directions using statistical indices.
- Edge Detector
-
Applies the specified edge filter to the specified image.
- Edges Detect Effect
-
Detects the edges in an image and their strength.
- Contour Filter
-
Performs a contour segment filter on the source image.
- Binary Filter
-
This filter imposes a binary filter on an image. It performs a user defined effect by using suitable mask.
- Get Histogram
-
Show the color frequencies in the image.
- Get Bitmap Statistics Information
-
Returns statistical indices about the image
- Dynamic Binary
-
Binarize an image by using a different threshold value for each pixel of the image
- Auto Binary Segment
-
Applies binary segmentation to the image using an automatically calculated threshold based on a two-peak method of statistical analysis of the histogram
- Skeleton
-
Thinning objects/regions in an image
- Intensity Detect
-
Divides the image into binary segments according to specified thresholds.
- Get Object Information
-
Determines the position, orientation and roundness of the object in the image
- Get Region Contour Points
-
Returns the contour coordinates of a region
- Get Region Perimeter Length
-
Computes the perimeter size of a region
- Get Ferets Diameter
-
In microscopy, Feret's diameter is the measured distance between parallel lines that are tangent to an object's profile and perpendicular to the ocular scale. Generally, Feret's diameter is the greatest distance possible between any two points along the
- Region Holes Removal
-
Removes all the holes in region. Makes the region contiguous.
- Resize Region
-
Resizes an image region by the specified number of pixels.
- Shear
-
Moves the corners of an image in the fashion of a parallelogram.
- Resize-Interpolate
-
Resizes the image to a new width and height based on advanced interpolation methods.
- Reverse
