LEAD Congratulates PentaWare on Recent
PC Magazine Editor's Choice Award

Charlotte, NC (March 6, 2002) LEAD Technologies, a leading provider of imaging developer toolkits, congratulates its valued customer PentaWare on receiving a PC Magazine Editor's Choice Award. Pentaware's most recent release of PentaZip, a versatile compression utility, gained top honors in the PC Magazine's Editors picks of archive utilities.

PentaZip has continued to lead the way in their marketplace for some time, being the first zip program to include an integrated multi-format file viewer, handle multiple compression formats without requiring additional software, work with multiple antivirus programs, and offer integrated email support. Additionally, PentaZip was the first to earn the Microsoft "Designed for Windows 98/NT logo, get certified for Microsoft Windows 2000 and earn the Microsoft "Designed for Windows XP" logo.

PentaWare has been a LEAD Technologies' customer since 1998, using LEADTOOLS version 5 in early development of PentaZip. In PentaZip version 4, PentaWare used LEADTOOLS Multimedia Pro v12 to add support for numerous file formats including Adobe PSD and MPG, exceptional speed for JPEG rendition, as well as convenient facilities for file manipulation. PentaWare's developers found the LEADTOOLS Vector View plug-in gave them the necessary support for vector formats such as AutoCAD DWG and DXF.
