LEADTOOLS Announces New FlashPix Module
LEADTOOLS FlashPix Module shipping now for version 8.0 provides increased versatility in the handling of digital color images by taking advantage of the complete FlashPix file structure
San Francisco, CA (October 1, 1997) - LEAD Technologies, Inc. has released a new FlashPix add-on SDK. The FlashPix module leverages FlashPix technology and brings it to market as a cost effective add-on to LEAD’s comprehensive imaging development toolkit line.

LEADTOOLS FlashPix module features allow developers to:

Work with non-image data. The LEADTOOLS FlashPix module provides developers with the ability to read and set non-image data as comments which provide further information about the images, both original and digital.

Load and save a portion of an image. Instead of processing an entire image, developers can load and process part of an image.

Work with thumbnail images in a FlashPix file. A thumbnail or stamp is a small bitmap representation of a FlashPix image. These can be written to or read from FlashPix files.

Work with transformation parameters in an existing FlashPix file. Images may be transformed by rotation, linear translation, shearing, contrast stretching, sharpening, and blurring, among others. In FlashPix files, these transforms may be stored with the image itself. This allows the source image to remain unchanged, and the transforms to describe the change on the next load.
LEADTOOLS FlashPix Module is available as an add-on to any 32 bit DLL LEADTOOLS product. Basic read and write FlashPix functionality is included in all LEADTOOLS products free of charge.
