Announces Participation in Digital Imaging Group

Joins Industry Leaders to Launch Consortium to Support

Francisco, CA (October 1, 1997) - LEAD Technologies
announces that the 9-founding companies of the Digital
Imaging Group (DIG) - Kodak, HP, Fuji, Canon, Adobe,
Intel, Live Picture, Microsoft and IBM - have invited
LEAD to both join and help launch this new industry
coalition. LEAD will join DIG as a Technical Associate,
entering at the same level as Microsoft and IBM.
These industry leaders will all participate in a
special day of launch events held by DIG at Seybold
in San Francisco on October 1st.
The Digital Imaging Group
is an open, not-for-profit industry consortium which
will own and evolve FlashPix and the Internet Imaging
Protocol with the goal of driving a ubiquitous,
open component platform for the next generation
of digital imaging solutions. The group will also
provide community support services, and most importantly,
common messages and a public web site to assist
in marketing these new platforms and solutions to
the marketplace.

applications state of the art as well,” said

and Executive Director of the Digital Imaging Group
