LEAD TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES PDF PLUG-IN
Charlotte, NC (October 23, 2000) – LEAD Technologies, Inc. announced today that it is providing full PDF, Postscript, and EPS file format support in its PDF Plug-in, available as an add-on to its LEADTOOLS Document and Medical lines of imaging toolkits.
The new PDF Plug-in allows for the loading, saving, viewing, rasterizing, and encoding of these three formats and integrates directly with the broad imaging functionality present in the existing LEADTOOLS imaging toolkits, encompassing display, color-conversion, image-processing, scanning, annotations, document clean-up, and more.
Options for loading PDF, Postscript and EPS files include:
- Pixel Depth - resulting rasterization can be 1, 4, 8 or 24 bits/pixel.
- Resolution - both horizontal and vertical resolution of rasterization can be specified.
- Font specification - ability to use either system fonts or fonts installed by the plug-in.
- Font Anti-aliasing - fonts can be rendered using 1, 2 or 4 bit anti-aliasing.
- Graphic Anti-aliasing - graphics can be rendered using 1, 2 or 4 bit anti-aliasing.
Options for saving PDF, Postscript and EPS files include:
- Full multi-page support, including ability to append, insert, replace or delete individual pages.
- Wide support of compression options for 1-bit, grayscale, and color images, including: CCITT G3 1D, CCITT G3 2D, CCITT G4, Lossless JPEG YUV 4:4:4, JPEG YUV 4:2:2, JPEG YUV 4:1:1, and uncompressed.
- Image data to text encoding options, including: ASCII 85, ASCII HEX, and unencoded.
