I have been developing using Visual Basic. I've developed
two business applications using LEADTOOLS, first with the
VBX and now with the 32 bit OCX. These applications are
document management systems using black & white documents
whose primary role is to eliminate the need for file cabinets
and copy machines for certain business documents. Both applications
used TWAIN scanning and multipage document techniques. One
application uses the new OCR technology offered by LEADTOOLS.

VisualBasic and PowerBuilder. Image Management/Archival
Projects (Client/Server & WEB versions) LEAD was

functions of images in various formats and resolutions.
Images are stored and retrieved from a database backend.
A custom gallery of thumbnail images is provided. Scanning
and Printing utilities are provided through LEADTOOLS.
Electronic Catalog Projects LEAD functions were used to
split catalog pages into 1bit/8bit/24bit regions, compress
and database them. The retrieval of pages involved re-assembling
of the page at runtime. Image Enhancement at reduced zoom
level was provided for 1bit images by converting it to 8bit
images on the fly.
