Introduction to the LEADTOOLS DVD Module

The LEADTOOLS DVD Module enhances the LEADTOOLS Multimedia toolkit by adding functionality for programmatically creating, burning, and playing DVD images. The LEADTOOLS DVD Module has everything you need to create and burn DVD images, including a DVD Imager interface, DVD burner The driver that writes the data (burns the data) to the DVD. The LEADTOOLS DVR Module adds on to the LEADTOOLS Multimedia SDK  and includes a fully enabled development license for the following components:

Obtaining release versions of the DVD Module Specialized Components

You need to unlock the LEADTOOLS DVD module to use the above filters in RELEASE mode. For more information, refer to the  Evaluation Mechanism Overview .

You can develop and perform testing with the development-only editions of the components, codecs and filters contained in this product. Development-only editions of the codecs display either "LEAD Encoder" or "LEAD Decoder" in the video stream The portion of the file holding the video data. The video data might be compressed to save disk space. The data has to be decompressed using a video decompressor before you can play (see) it. .  Development-only editions of the filters and components display a licensing dialog from time to time while the program is running. Development-only editions do not expire but may not be used in a production environment under your license.

In order to deploy the DVD Module specialized components, you must sign the Duplication and Distribution License for the LEADTOOLS DVD Module  and return it to LEAD. You will be provided with unlock instructions to the release versions of any of these filters or codecs which you wish to license after you sign the appropriate duplication and distribution license. Release editions do not display a licensing dialog box or LEAD text on the video stream.
